How to apply
Applications are submitted online by 15 March.
There is no limit to the number of applications you can submit.
The application fee is CZK 790.
Please note: Some deadlines may vary from faculty to faculty, so make sure to keep an eye on their websites.
You can complete the whole process calmly online, choose a study programme or a combination of two, and pay conveniently by card or bank transfer. You can return to your application at any time — there is no need to submit it immediately. For selected programmes, applications are also accepted after 15 March. For doctoral studies, applications may be submitted until the end of April or in May.
The invitation will appear in your online application, in the “Documents” tab, usually 30 days before the entrance exam date. You can find information about what to expect from the exam on the websites of our faculties. These often include sample tests from previous years or details about preparatory courses. If the admission procedure is based on the National Comparative Exams, applicants must register for the tests themselves.
The format of entrance exams often differs not only from faculty to faculty, but also from programme to programme. Naturally, everything also depends on the current epidemiological situation. You can attend the entrance exams even if you have not yet completed your secondary school leaving exam. Proof of completion can be submitted later, even in the autumn. If your chosen programme requires the National Comparative Exams, you can take them on several dates from December to May. Only your best result will count.
As a rule, you will find out whether you have been admitted within a few weeks after the exams, if exams are part of the process. Once you have been admitted, you can, for example, apply for accommodation in university halls of residence. You officially become a student only once you enrol. At the Faculty of Law, applicants will receive a decision on admission or non-admission. A certified copy of the secondary school leaving certificate must be submitted by 15 June.
Someone else may represent you at enrollment with a power of attorney, so you can plan your summer road trip or part-time job without stress. From the moment you enrol, you become our student — and we become an even prouder university.
Before the start of your first semester, you can take part in one of the adaptation courses. From 1 September, you can also move into university halls of residence.
Welcome among 23,000 students from 100 countries around the world! Your first semester begins. It ends before Christmas, January is exam period, and from the second half of February until mid-May, the summer semester takes place.
Before submitting your application, check the conditions for recognising your secondary school or university education on the Recognition for Admission Purposes page.
